Travel Grant

The Religious Research Association has allocated funds to enable members to participate in the SSSR+RRA annual meeting. Financial assistance of up to $500 is available for RRA members presenting papers in designated RRA sessions. Award preference is given to student members and members living outside the United States.

To be considered for an RRA Travel Grant, applicants must:

  • Be a member of the Religious Research Association.
  • Submit a paper proposal designated for RRA by April 15.
  • Submit a completed application form in the RRA Membership Portal by June 15.

The application form requests contact information, presentation plans, any additional sources of travel funding, and details about the paper proposal. A link to the application form is provided below.

Applicants should download the form, enter all requested information, and submit the completed form electronically by April 30. A paper proposal also must be submitted using the on-line submission system by April 30.

Use the link in the new Members-only area to submit the grant application form. Look for the “Jacquet and Travel Grant” option in the RRA Membership Portal, as shown in the screen shot at right. Note that you must have a current membership to apply for a travel grant.
